About the Miniature Museum Amsterdam

Soon to open in the heart of Amsterdam is Miniature Museum Amsterdam, a new and attractive museum that tells the history of the city through beautiful miniatures. Visitors here will take a compact time travel through Amsterdam, from the Middle Ages to the present day.

We work with a small, enthusiastic team that together provides a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

About the position

As a museum employee, you are the museum's calling card. You make sure that every visitor feels welcome and leaves with a smile.

What you will do

  • Receiving and welcoming visitors
  • Scanning tickets at the entrance
  • Answering questions about the exhibition, facilities and opening hours
  • Overseeing the halls and helping with a pleasant flow
  • Possibly support at the museum store or small events

Who we are looking for

We are looking for several enthusiastic colleagues who:

  • Be service-oriented and representative
  • Speak Dutch and/or English (additional languages are a plus)
  • Be able to work independently, but also enjoy working as part of a team
  • Living in (the area of) Amsterdam

Experience in a museum, hospitality or tourism environment is nice to have, but not required.

Working Hours

  • Sunday through Thursday: 09:00 - 19:00
  • Friday & Saturday: 09:00 - 20:00

We work with two shifts a day, so there is room for flexibility in scheduling.
