What is the Miniature Museum Amsterdam
A new museum experience on Museum Square where you see the history of Amsterdam in carefully constructed miniatures, powerful films and compact stories. It is a journey through time in a form that is instantly appealing.
Is the museum card valid?
The Museum Card is not valid at the Miniature Museum Amsterdam.
Museumkaart holders receive a €3 discount on their entrance ticket.
This discount can only be applied at the museum's counter, as the Museum Card must be presented there. Therefore, tickets with the Museum Card discount cannot be purchased online.
What to see
At the Miniature Museum Amsterdam you will discover the history of the city in miniature. Through detailed miniatures, you will see famous places, historical moments and typical Amsterdam scenes.
You will see, among other things:
- The origins of Amsterdam around 1275
- the Dam in 1675
- the mills of the Zaanse Schans
- Amsterdam during World War II
- the squatter riots and Amsterdam Pride
Many models are interactive: at the touch of a button, lights turn on, sounds are heard or a scene comes to life.
So you experience the history of Amsterdam in a surprising way, a mini Amsterdam in which the city's history comes to life.
Is the city pass valid?
The City Pass is valid at the Miniature Museum Amsterdam.
Online reservations are not possible. Visitors with a City Pass can check in at the box office, where the pass will be scanned for free admission.
How long a visit lasts
Average 60 minutes. We deliberately kept the format tight so you see a lot without getting tired.
